Hydrangea House was born from a simple belief: a home should never be designed for a photograph. It should be designed for the people who wake up there, gather there, celebrate there, and return there every day.
We watched too many beautiful rooms sit untouched—styled for a moment, but never truly lived in. So we set out to design differently. Every space we create is meant to tell a story, reflect the lives unfolding within it, and become a backdrop for everyday moments and lasting memories.
The Heart Behind the House
Ashley Schaaf is the founder and principal designer of Hydrangea House Co., a boutique interior design studio based in Kentucky.
Her work is rooted in the belief that great design should reflect the people who live in a home—not the latest trends. Every project balances beauty, comfort, and function to create spaces that remain meaningful for years to come.
